Dave and his team at Modderman fixed a very tricky Check Engine light problem on my '98 993 that multiple shops (including a dealer) in the Bay Area couldn't resolve. One Porsche shop wouldn't even take on the problem - too difficult to solve. Off and on I spent two years having shops take a stab at resolving the problem. When they couldn't accurately troubleshoot the problem the proposal was to start replacing expensive parts in the hopes of permanently clearing the problematic load sensing code. Just costly guesswork. I finally found Modderman through their excellent Google reviews. They nailed the problem and fixed it in an efficient and inexpensive way! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dave and Modderman Services. If you've got a tricky issue with an older Porsche I highly recommend Modderman. They truly know what they're doing!

Modderman changed the timing belt on our 944, replaced the clutch hydraulic slave cylinder and as a bonus solved an issue with the complex sunroof that didn't want to latch. Dave showed me the removed parts and made sure I was happy with the work performed. The car has been great to drive since then. I plan to bring in my 911 next- very happy to have such an experienced and helpful shop team in the bay area.

My 1985 Porsche 944 timing belt was replaced perfectly and the team at Modderman even sorted out the malfunctioning sunroof for me. True experts!

Worked with David and the experience was awesome. He quickly took care of the interval service I was scheduled for, we added a front brake job once he looked at them and to my delight he told me some of the parts that were scheduled for replacement didn't need to be replaced yet.
