I had an excellent experience working with Dave and his shop to resolve a very nagging and tricky check engine light issue on a '98 993. I tried two very reputable shops near San Mateo multiple times over 2 years and neither could resolve the problem without proposing expensive replacement of parts only in the hopes of solving the problem - nothing gauranteed. I even had one Porsche shop refuse to take my car because they didn't have the patience or interest in helping me out once they knew the issue. Dave and his team efficiently and inexpensively went about troubleshooting the problem in a smart experienced way and ultimately diagnosed and fixed the problem. Modderman changed the timing belt on our 944, replaced the clutch hydraulic slave cylinder and as a bonus solved an issue with the complex sunroof that didn't want to latch. Dave showed me the removed parts and made sure I was happy with the work performed. The car has been great to drive since then. I plan to bring in my 911 next- very happy to have such an experienced and helpful shop team in the bay area.

My 1985 Porsche 944 timing belt was replaced perfectly and the team at Modderman even sorted out the malfunctioning sunroof for me. True experts!

Worked with David and the experience was awesome. He quickly took care of the interval service I was scheduled for, we added a front brake job once he looked at them and to my delight he told me some of the parts that were scheduled for replacement didn't need to be replaced yet. I just moved to the area and this is my first interaction, but very impressed overall.
